I really appreciate your wonderfull thought to share this information with rest of the world. This morning I got the bad news that my niece was suffering from Brain Tumour. She is 11 years old. I was totally shaken when I found articles about the BT over the Internet. I searched all over the Internet about how long could it take for a Kid to recover after BT diagnosis. There is no other website that has pacified my hard feelings than Kirra.co.uk. I surely would pray for Kirra and other kids who suffered BT when I pray for my niece. I will try to post more updates about my niece in the coming future. I hope your Niece is as lucky as Kirra, Thank you for your comments

I cried when I read this, and only came it across it by accident. I too had a benign brain tumour operated at age of 32 in 1988. I have been ill ever since, mainly due to steroid oversdosing. I went into Barts for 10 stay and didn't get out for over three months and didn't get home for 8 months. The abuse was unbelievable. However, words can't say how saddened I was to read what you've suffered, but delighted at the outcome.
She is a beautiful child and it's so lucky for her she had such intelligent caring parents (as for her mum being neurotic, it sort of sums up why I'm now disabled, as women always get negative treatment. My male friend with same tumour wrote to my solicitor he got far superior treatment because he was male. We had pituitary tumours.
God bless. Kiss for Kirra

I had a low grade Astrocytoma removed on the 27 April 2001 it was attached to my Brain Stem. I am currently having yearly MRI scans to ensure that the tumour doesn`t return. As I am in my thirties I believe that I have got quite a good chance of physical recovery. I have been going to Rehab for the last few months which has helped a great deal. Best Wishes to Kirra and Family for the future.

God`s Speed and hope for long term survival. I am not a cancer patient. But, I do have some one very dear to me with cancer. I wish this dreadful disease came with some inspriation of hope or longful life of happening and dreams that are untouchable by it. I do believe that one day there will be technology that will suit long life of any type of brain tumour. Until, then I will hope and pray for all, with this. God Bless you!

Hi Kirra and family, I have been searching for information on abnormal MRI scans as my daughter, aged 12, has just had a second abnormal result and they have found a growth on her spine. We are now waiting to see what they will do. I am so glad that you all decided to tell your story to the world, you have been an inspiration. With very best wishes for the future

Just to wish you and your family all the best and every good luck and happiness. I work with people with learning disabilities and one of the menI look after has a brain tumour. The prognosis isn`t good and all the staff who care for him are dealing with their own grief whilst helping and supporting Raymond. You all take care now. Lots of love xx

My mum brought to my attention to your website Kirra. I would also like to pass on my regards to you, I am so happy you are doing well. My nephew is only 9 weeks old and as my mum said we don`t know what is going on. His MRI has not been done yet as they want to monitor him over the next few days. We are as you say in your "Diary" preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. I was feeling very guilty yesterday when Corey was diagnosed as I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl who is healthy in every way and seeing Corey and Brianna together really brought home to me even more so how blessed I am and how precious our children are. God Bless you and your family and thank you for such a wonderful site.
